Ribbon Of Wind

The deer played unseen in the meadow

The eagle looked for my boat to share a crappie

The chickadee missed the seed I share with her

I'm riding a ribbon of wind back to Wisconsin

My eyes shut to the sunrise over the trees

My fingers clicked on keys that weren't real

The coyote hid my heart from what it feels

I'm riding a ribbon of wind back to Wisconsin

I went to the city with cars and trains and people

Thought going there would be facing my darkest fears

But a woman waits in the woods and she hold my tears

I'm riding a ribbon of wind back to Wisconsin
