Bluegrass Stomp

I wander down to the water, roll up my trousers

Madeline Fendrick - mandolin, vocals

Brian Peck - guitar, vocals

Take off my shoes and jump in the water

I wriggle with the fishes 'stead of doin' my dishes

An' when I come home take out my mando

I do a little tune up when it's done up then I jump

An' play the Bluegrass Stomp

My mando likes to tango, do the honkeymango

Play a Bach concerto, slide down a bluesy scale

Playin' Joplin or a Copeland, Gershwin's pretty fun

But when I get back home take out my mando

I do a little tune up when it's done

It says it wants to play the Bluegrass Stomp

So shel the corn, pick some tomaters, grind the wheat and dig some taters

Milk the cow and slop the hog, feed the cat and pet the dog

Light the lamp, water the chicken, get the mando for some pickin'

Then remember I've gotta feed the mule

Get that done salute him to the porch it's high falutin'

With the Bluegrass Stomp
